SquareOne Villages creates democratic communities with homes that are permanently affordable and environmentally sustainable. We envision our villages and workplace as environments in which people from all backgrounds and abilities are welcomed, included, and valued. Our work began in 2012 as a grassroots effort to create an alternative shelter model known as Opportunity Village. Since then, we’ve adopted a community land trust model and specialize in developing permanently affordable housing co-ops in Lane County, Oregon.
